According to research conducted by Princeton University, the presence of arts in a community impacts it in three different ways: economically, socially, and individually. The objective of Younite is to spread awareness about organizations that have been working toward establishing a larger arts community in the city of Muncie.
Younite provides key assets from each organization including the impact its had on Muncie’s arts community, its contact information, and its location. With this information Younite establishes an outlet for artists to connect with other artists, and organizations within the Muncie community.

Deliverable 1 : Identity System
The name Younite came from the campaign message of becoming unified with your community. Spelling it with “you” emphasizes the idea that broadening your relationship with the community starts with you leading to the collaboration with other artists to learn from each other, develop together and make a difference. This will create a better life for you emotionally, physically, and socially.
Since the development of the Ball Brothers’ glass jar in 1884, the city of Muncie has been a home for glass development. Inspired by this development, Younite’s identity system reflects the bends in neon signs. The color palette is vibrant to convey energy and eagerness.
Deliverable 2 : Brochure
The brochure features seven organizations from the Muncie community, and a map to help individuals navigate the city, together. It provides information to artists about what each organization does, how it impacts Muncie, its contact information, and its location on the map. The information was collected through a questionnaire sent to each organization to thoroughly describe their impact in the art culture of Muncie.
Deliverable 3 : Postcards
The postcards feature contact information about each organization, and acts as a reminder of the Younite philosophy. The postcards were produced at Tribune Showprint, one of the members of the Younite initiative. The final product held a combination of printing techniques including lead type, a metal plate, and an etched board created with a CNC machine.
